The founder and creative director of Nikkelkrome, Dan Nikkel brings to every project an infectious entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for seamlessly blending form and function.
After receiving his bachelorís degree in finance from Colorado University in 2001, Dan relocated to the French Alps and began work for Sun Microsystems in a move that allowed him to indulge his love of travel, the outdoors, and living life to the fullest.
Following his time in Europe, Dan's lifelong enthusiasm for hands-on learning led him to immerse himself in the art of filmmaking for two years while working with an independent film studio on New York's Lower East Side.
Since founding Nikkelkrome nine years ago, Dan has established himself as a respected niche player in the digital design world, offering clients a one-of-a-kind approach, powerful design aesthetic and commitment to quality in all aspects of his work. Having quickly gained recognition in industries ranging from high fashion to action sports, he has landed high-profile projects with clients like 686, Vestal Watch, Stitch's Jeans and Da-Nang.
When Dan is not in the studio, you can usually find him in the great outdoors with his family and friends. He currently resides in Hermosa Beach with his wife Libby.
